Ford Announces Limited Production Race Track 2018 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet

In 1968 Ford’s Cobra Jet dominated drag racing and went on to win the 1968 NHRA Winternationals.

Ford is now celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Cobra Jet by building 68 new Jets specifically for the track.

Ford Performance, the high-performance division of Ford Motor Company, claims the new Cobra Jet should post quarter-mile times in the mid-8-second range with a top speed exceeding 150 mph.

For comparison, According to MotorTrend, the Tesla Model S P100 is the quickest ever road car with a 10.5 seconds quarter mile.

Price and further details will be announced this summer.
